Introducing Daisy and Violet

Daisy and Violet Hilton were conjoined twins, born in Brighton, England in 1908 and lived above the Queens arms pub. They were sold at birth and their new Guardians exhibited them around Europe and America in side shows, Vaudeville and Burlesque Circuits in 1920s and 30s. On reaching adult hood they broke free from their adopted chains and rules, and worked in North Carolina in a convenience store. They sadly died in 1969, from a deadly bout of Hong Kong Flu, at the age of 60.
I dedicate these hats to Brighton's two local ladies, Daisy and Violet.

These two stunning burlesque style vintage silk top hats are both dressed in coloured tule, matching pompom ribbon, bunched at the back with a black velvet bow. Proudly placed at the front of each of these hats sits a hand painted bird skull, perched on colour matched hand sewn rosettes. Daisy is dress in sunny yellow, where as Violet opts for the deep jaffa orange.

Daisy and Violet, both come with black pompom net masks… be worn, or not to be worn, the choice is yours. x

Both hats are a Uk hat size 6 7/8, 56cm, 21 7/8 inch
